Set the bid insight as the actual bid

Sage Estimating (cloud), formerly Sage BidMatrix, provides suggested bid amounts for bid package phases, which are calculated using subcontractor historical bids from similar projects. These values can be normalized using standard or custom cost indexes to account for market fluctuations, regional cost differences, and other factors.

  1. Go to Projects.

  2. On the Projects page, open the project by selecting Enter on the project tile or the enter icon (Enter project icon.) next to the project row.

  3. On the Summary Sheet, select either the bid package code or the bid package description.

    Alternatively, select the bid package from the left navigation pane.

  4. In the bid package matrix, select the cell for the bid package phase and subcontractor, and then select Use Insight below the Bid Insights graph.
